We want to change people's perspective on the shroom, by making mushrooms a more attractive option than junk food and breaking their bad rep. We're pushing the culinary boundaries by creating high quality, medicinal mushroom, plant-based products that are exploding with flavor and perfectly balanced nutrition. We are passionate about educating people on different varieties of gourmet mushrooms and all their medicinal benefits. Sporgy encourages healthy lifestyle choices by offering plant based vegan options. We never use any animal products such as meat, eggs, or dairy. It is important to us to always use whole, fruited body mushrooms which are rich in adaptogens, beta-glucans and prebiotics. All our ingredients are of the highest quality, with NO fillers, artificial colors or flavors, free of soy, gluten, palm oil and GMO's. We are an environmentally conscious company and support protecting a healthy planet from non-renewable excessive waste. Vegan Chefs Carlee and Adam started Sporgy with a passion for mushrooms. Carlee graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. She worked as a Chef on the east coast through-out the restaurant industry, then migrated into becoming a Personal Chef for elite clientele. She also competed on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen television show. Shortly after moving to the west coast, Carlee met Adam in Southern California. Adam, worked in the culinary field doing everything from mass catering to fine dining, as well as being a Personal Chef. Adam comes from a large Texas family and has a special place in his heart for smoked foods. Naturally, Carlee and Adam felt the urge to come up with Sporgy and its uniquely delicious, healthy, naturally smoked, vegan friendly, whole maitake mushroom jerky. Thus far they have expanded their 'attractive mushroom' product line to beautifully hand-crafted mushroom teas, super concentrated mushroom extracts, at home grow kit and fun mushroom art. With more to come, Carlee and Adam are on a mission to make mushrooms more attractive.
