The Founders

Chefs Carlee and Adam, the founders of Sporgy, embarked on this culinary journey driven by their shared passion for mushrooms.


Carlee's culinary journey began at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where she honed her skills and expertise. She went on to work as a chef in the vibrant restaurant industry of the East Coast and later transitioned into becoming a Personal Chef for elite clientele. Her culinary prowess led her to compete on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen television show.


Across the country on the West Coast, Carlee crossed paths with Adam, a culinary professional with a diverse background encompassing everything from mass catering to fine dining. He, too, was a seasoned Chef. With their mutual love for mushrooms and a desire to create something unique and extraordinary, Sporgy Mushrooms was born.


Together, Carlee and Adam have harnessed their culinary talents and deep-rooted passion to craft Sporgy's exceptional, delicious, and health-conscious vegan-friendly products that center around the extraordinary potential of whole mushrooms. Their 'attractive mushroom' product line features meticulously hand-crafted mushroom teas, mushroom extracts, at-home grow kits, and captivating mushroom art. As they continue to innovate and expand their offerings, Carlee and Adam are on a mission to redefine the way people perceive and experience mushrooms, making them more attractive and engaging for everyone.
